Just inside the giant building, Muerte could notice a long line of important people piling in. All of these people were either detectives, or someone involved politically. Supposedly, one of the world's greatest detectives, L, was about to announce something big, and thus a lot of people had decided to come and see what it was.
'What have you discovered this time, L?' Muerte wondered to himself. Part of him felt anticipation. It had been a while since he'd met L, and he wanted to show him how much he improved. However, another part of him felt fear...fear that he would be left in the dust when L announced whatever he was.
Smiling to himself, Muerte reminded himself that there couldn't be anythign to big that L wanted to announce. It wouldn't be like he discovered that there were Shinigami in the world. 'Shinigami...heh, only lunatics would think something like that up. There's no way they're real.'
